Amgen-UBS Elite Masters
Cracks 100 Points Total
With Paolinetti leading a
breakaway and then lapping the field, it was all over for
the other teams at the Barry Wolfe GP, May 30th. Ghadia,
DeMarchi, Corona and Galvan all raked in the points at the
end with only CA Pools/DeWalts Stark and Coleman being the
only other team to score points. CA Pools/DeWalt is now
nipping at the wheels of Herbalife/LaGrange for a podium
position in the MCL. Find out if the hills of the San Pedro
Grand Prix will shake up the podium. |

Plus/PureRed Creative Takes Nor Cal MCL Lead. |
 |
Feb 7th, 2010 - The Cherry Pie Criterium
was host for the first ever Nor Cal MCL race on February 7th
in Napa. The Eagle Racing Team in conjunction with the Eagle
Cycling Club hosted this 35th annual event under outstanding
weather as the sun broke through for a great day of dry
criterium road racing. With a technical course including an
uphill finish, a talent filled field included notables like
Dean Laberge and Lawrence Nolan (Team Specialized Racing
Masters), as well as Morgan Stanley/Smith Barney's Chris
Phipps and Williamswheels.com's Michael Sayers. Team
Safeway's Dan Martin made the winning break of six riders
before the midway point and scored both 2 point preems as
well as a full 8 point score in the final finish. Betonte
and Weissenberger also scored for Safeway. HDR Racing
presented by Lombardi Sports scored 15 points giving them a
solid second place standing over Fightin' Bobas and Third
Pillar who are both tied for third. Next Nor Cal MCL race is
on March 13th in Monterey at the
Central Coast
Circuit Race.
So Cal's season opener is on Sunday, February 14th at the
Roger Millikan Memorial St. Valentines Day Criterium.
Teams, be sure to field your best suited riders for the flat
and fast So Cal Course! |
